이번 주 설교 본문은 에스라 9:1~3절입니다.

제목은 ‘가증한 일’입니다.

구약을

히브리 민족의 이야기나

이스라엘 나라의 이야기로

읽으면 정말 큰 오해입니다.

하나님은 모든 인간을 창조하셨고

모든 인간이 죄인이 되었으니

모든 인간이 구원의 대상입니다.

하나님은 유일하신 분이기에

모든 인간을 위해 일하시는 분입니다.

하나님의 선택은

이스라엘만을 위한 차별이 아니라

모든 인간을 위한 샘플로 보여주는 것입니다.

그러므로 포로 후기 사건들에 대해

이스라엘의 회복이라는 관점을 가지면

구약, 하나님의 사역을 오해, 왜곡하게 됩니다.

이방에서 1, 2차 귀환한 사람들이

성전을 재건하고 예물을 드리고

절기를 지켰지면 전혀 새로운 것이 아닙니다.

같은 시기에 선지자들이 외쳤던

예언들을 기준으로 살펴야 합니다.

과연 에스라의 조치들은

하나님의 뜻에 맞는 것이었습니까?

에스라 9 : 1 ~ 2절 본문 번역 비교읽기

▣ 개역개정 (2002년, 대한성서공회)

1.이 일 후에 방백들이 내게 나아와 이르되 이스라엘 백성과 제사장들과 레위 사람들이 이 땅 백성들에게서 떠나지 아니하고 가나안 사람들과 헷 사람들과 브리스 사람들과 여부스 사람들과 암몬 사람들과 모압 사람들과 애굽 사람들과 아모리 사람들의 가증한 일을 행하여 2.그들의 딸을 맞이하여 아내와 며느리로 삼아 거룩한 자손이 그 지방 사람들과 서로 섞이게 하는데 방백들과 고관들이 이 죄에 더욱 으뜸이 되었다 하는지라

1.이 일을 모두 마친 다음이었다. 백성의 지도자들이 찾아와서 나에게 밀고를 하였다. "이스라엘 백성은 사제나 레위인마저도 이 지방에 사는 여러 민족, 가나안족, 헷족, 브리즈족, 여부스족, 암몬족, 모압족, 이집트족, 아모리족과 관계를 끊지 않고 하느님께 역겨운 일을 그대로 하고 있습니다. 2.이민족들의 딸을 아내로 맞는가 하면 며느리를 삼기도 합니다. 그리하여 거룩한 씨가 이 땅의 여러 민족의 피와 섞이고 있습니다. 더군다나 지도자들과 관리라는 것들이 이런 짓에 앞장을 서고 있습니다."
