에스라 강해 6

이번 주 설교 본문은 에스라 3 : 8~13절입니다.

제목은 ‘성전의 기초’입니다.

하나님이 행하시는 사역에 대해

하나님의 의도, 목적을 정확히 알아야 합니다.

유다 백성이 바벨론으로 잡혀간다고

하나님이 무능력한 것이 아니며

반대로 예루살렘으로 돌아오는 것이

하나님이 능력이 회복되는 것이 아닙니다.

동일한 패턴으로

애초에 처소가 없었는데

성막에 거하시면 초라한 것이고

다윗의 성전에 거하시면 영화롭고

성전이 무너지면 하나님의 권위가 상실되고

재건되면 하나님의 영광이 회복되는 것이 아닙니다.

포로귀환과 성전 재건,

성벽 재건 등의 하나님 사역의 본질이 아닙니다.

우리가 궁금해 해야 하는 것은

사람들의 행동, 태도입니다.

바벨론에서 돌아온 사람들이

율법에 기록한 대로 번제를 드리고

기록된 규례대로 초막절을 지키고,

성전의 기초를 놓을 때에는

다윗의 규례대로 찬양을 합니다.

하나님이 원하신 것이 이것일까요?

에스라 3 : 10 ~ 13절 본문 번역 비교읽기

▣ 개역개정 (2002년, 대한성서공회)

10.건축자가 여호와의 성전의 기초를 놓을 때에 제사장들은 예복을 입고 나팔을 들고 아삽 자손 레위 사람들은 제금을 들고 서서 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 규례대로 여호와를 찬송하되 11.찬양으로 화답하며 여호와께 감사하여 이르되 주는 지극히 선하시므로 그의 인자하심이 이스라엘에게 영원하시도다 하니 모든 백성이 여호와의 성전 기초가 놓임을 보고 여호와를 찬송하며 큰 소리로 즐거이 부르며 12.제사장들과 레위 사람들과 나이 많은 족장들은 첫 성전을 보았으므로 이제 이 성전의 기초가 놓임을 보고 대성통곡하였으나 여러 사람은 기쁨으로 크게 함성을 지르니 13.백성이 크게 외치는 소리가 멀리 들리므로 즐거이 부르는 소리와 통곡하는 소리를 백성들이 분간하지 못하였더라

10.공사를 맡은 이들이 야훼의 성전 본관 기초를 놓자 사제들은 제복을 입고 나팔을 들고, 아삽의 후손 레위인들은 바라를 들고 나서서 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 지시대로 야훼를 찬양하였다. 11."야훼님 어지셔라." 하면 "이스라엘에게 베푸신 사랑 끝이 없어라." 하고 화답하며 야훼께 감사 찬송을 불러 올렸다. 온 백성은 야훼의 성전 터가 놓인 것을 보고 너무 고마워서 환성을 올리며 야훼를 찬양하였다. 12.사제들과 레위인들과 가문의 어른들 가운데는 이전 성전을 본 노인들이 많았다. 그들은 이렇게 성전 터가 놓인 것을 보고 목을 놓아 울음을 터뜨렸다. 그런가 하면 많은 사람들은 소리를 지르며 좋아서 어쩔 줄을 몰랐다. 13.그 소리가 어찌나 컸던지 멀리까지 들렸는데 좋아서 떠드는 소리인지 슬퍼서 우는 소리인지 갈피를 잡을 수 없을 정도였다.

10.성전 기초를 놓자 다윗왕이 지시한 규정대로 예복을 입은 제사장들은 나팔을 들고 자기 위치에 서고 아삽 집안의 레위 사람들은 제금을 들고 각자 자기 위치에 서서 11.여호와께 감사와 찬양드리며 이렇게 노래하였다. '여호와는 선하시며 이스라엘에 대한 그의 사랑은 영원하다!' 그러자 모든 백성들은 성전 기초를 놓은 기쁨때문에 큰 소리로 여호와를 찬양하였다. 12.그러나 솔로몬의 옛 성전을 기억하고 있던 나이 많은 제사장들과 레위인들과 그 밖의 여러 지도자들은 새 성전의 기초가 놓인 것을 보고 대성 통곡하였고 다른 사람들은 기뻐서 외쳤다. 13.이와 같이 사람들의 요란한 소리가 멀리까지 들렸으므로 우는 소리인지 기뻐서 외치는 소리인지 아무도 분간할 수가 없었다.

10.When the men started to lay the foundation of the Temple, the priests in their robes took their places with trumpets in their hands, and the Levites of the clan of Asaph stood there with cymbals. They praised the Lord according to the instructions handed down from the time of King David. 11.They sand the Lord’s praises, repeating the refrain: “The Lord is good, and his love for Israel is eternal.” Everyone shouted with all his might, praising the Lord, because the work on the foundation of the Temple had been started. 12.Many of the older priests, Levites, and heads of clans had seen the first Temple, and as they watched the foundation of this Temple being laid, they cried and wailed.
